Certification in basic life support (BLS), including CPR certification (must be current or obtained within 30 days of employment)

Physical ability to meet job responsibilities

Perform a variety of appropriately delegated patient care interventions for patients in the Critical Care dept and their families.

Contribute to the efficient operation of the Critical Care dept, ensuring quality patient/family clinical outcomes.

A high school diploma or GED certificate

Ability to pass clinical competency testing

Must have excellent customer service skills.

Monitoring PACS database, merging and deleting images as necessary, locating and providing priors for radiologists.

Assisting patients with filling out forms and changing into gowns.

Processing and distribution of radiology reports, answering phones, purging jackets/films, obtaining films from the warehouse, and stocking of supplies.

High School Diplomaor equivalent required.

Demonstrates the ability to observe and assist individual students that are experiencing difficulties.

Distributes and collects appropriate materials, sets up the classroom for instructional projects, and sets up and operates audio-visual equipment as needed.

Oversees and monitors activity of students in playground, cafeteria, rest room, hallway and other environments where students gather.

Assists students with resolving minor conflicts on playground and other environments.

Reports unauthorized activities and unauthorized persons on school grounds to appropriate school authority.

Assembles students promptly for class when the bell rings and collects any equipment left on the playground.

Assist students in the cafeteria and may assist food service staff with service and cleanup.

Performs a variety of clerical and housekeeping functions.

Data entry and mathematical skills

Participates in training and the continuous development of new staff. Attends educational programs, inservices and meetings as required. - 5%

Education - High school diploma or equivalent, OR post high school diploma

Experience - No previous experience required

Continually observes cardiac monitors and reports any changes in cardiac rhythm to the appropriate RN. - 50%

Receives report from the previous shift and documents strips per policy. - 5%

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

High-risk antepartum care, including knowledge of medications involved in treatment.

Minimum one (1) year of current labor & delivery RN experience

Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire

NRP certification within 4-weeks of hire

Pay in lieu of benefits premium program

Have at least 4 years of licensed driving experience and possess a valid driver's license issued in the state of residence

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions

Safely transport lab specimens, medical records, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related material in a timely manner

Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior

Operate a hand-held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle

Education: High School diploma. Current CT licensed EMT preferred, will consider Medical Assistant and CT Certified Nursing Assistant with experience

Experience: Preferable 1 to 2 years’ experience

Certification: Must have current AHA BLS

Part -Time, 24 hours, day shift and must work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled

Evaluates the learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires. May perform assigned supervisory responsibilities as needed.
