Translational Research Laboratory Technician Jobs

Previous research experience in the molecular diagnostic field of oncology is preferred.

Draft to manuscripts, conference abstracts, posters, and/or presentation slides for various audiences

Work collaboratively with internal/external researchers on editing drafts until finalization and publication.

Ph.D. in a biological science related to cancer biology, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology or biostatistics.

Strong background in biostatistics or data science is preferred.

Responsible for sample logistics and data management across multiple clinical and non-clinical trials.

Support the onboarding and qualification of new equipment and software.

Extensive working knowledge of biomedical research methodologies.

Demonstrated experience in managing implementation of bioanalytical studies under GCP/GLP compliance.

Excellent technical writing and communication skills; able to articulate complex scientific concepts to diverse functional groups and stakeholders.

Experience and/or willingness to be trained in necropsy procedures

Relevant experience in oncology research or related management of information and data.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Maintains skills/competency related to specimen processing equipment, and procedures common to the patient population of the HCCC.

Assists with the preparation of educational materials for patients and other staff as needed to carry out protocol.

1-3 years of experience in the conduct of social science/behavioral/medical research or clinical programming.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Hands on experience analyzing high throughput omics data

Basic knowledge of molecular biology and wet-lab omics technologies

Demonstrated experience in writing code for omics data analysis

Experience in generating high quality graphs for presentation and/or publication

Experience in industry research, especially experience in analyzing data from clinical trials, biomarker research, and/or target identification and prioritization

Experience using Git or similar version control system

Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities, attend workshops, seminars, or training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.

Some knowledge or experience with chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering is preferred.

Some knowledge and ability in welding, soldering, and machining.

Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols related to chemical, electrical, and radiological hazards.

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Detail oriented, highly organized multi-tasker with strong trouble-shooting skills.

Experience with the following molecular biology techniques/platforms is required: DNA/RNA/protein extraction, qPCR, NanoString, RNAseq and ELISA/MSD/Luminex/Singulex.

Immunologist with human-based tissue experience is highly preferred.

Experience with complex in vitro multi-cell assay systems (including tissue organoids, LPMCs and human biopsy explants).

Assay development experience using preclinical and clinical systems (including tissue, whole blood, and murine cells).

Experience with flow cytometric assays (examples include Symphony, CyTOF and cell sorting).

PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, cancer biology, immunology, or a related field

Deep understanding of cancer biology and experience working with publicly available datasets used to interrogate molecular mechanisms (e.g., TCGA)

Excellent cross-functional communication and teamwork skills, working with both computational and experimental scientists

Experience partnering with pharma in biomarker identification or companion diagnostics development

Experience working with liquid handling platforms for high-throughput research projects

Experience mentoring and training research associates

Follows patients on study and maintains knowledge of adverse events

Collaborates with physicians, mid-level practitioners, research nurse and data managers to document patient care

Coordinates reports for the study manager for submitting grant data in a timely manner

Provides study related coordination including protocol maintenance

Develops and maintains a processing and tracking system for all protocol related documents

Develops patient care methodology for protocols, including criteria for patient participation

Strong reading comprehension skills with a keen attention to detail.

Familiarity with data entry best practices and principles.

Read abstracts of conference presentations and scientific publication of CAR-T clinical trials.

Extract the key components of interest from these abstracts.

Input the content into a database and ensure records are accurate and complete.

Participate in database analysis and interpretation.

Identifies opportunity for quality improvement to colleagues and management.

High school diploma/GED + 1-2 years of proven experience
