Spanish English Interpreter Jobs in Texas

Delivers video remote interpreting (VRI) devices to units/clinics as needed, and provides instruction on the use of the device.

2 years related healthcare experience required

2 years healthcare interpreter experience strongly preferrred

Provides oral interpreting services for Texas Children's hospital areas including: inpatient, outpatient, day surgery and emergency center.

Provides oral interpreting of clinical and health care related discussions involving staff, patients, families and physicians.

Responds to interpreting assignments in an expedient and professional manner.

Maintaining competency through independent study, participation in professional conferences and other continuing education programs

Complying with all hospital policies and department administrative requirements, including data collection processes

A National Certification in Medical Interpreting is preferred

Recognizing cultural differences between families and providers. Facilitating communication and bridging cultural gaps

Providing general, non-technical information to allow patients to navigate the health care system

Abiding by the professional code of ethics and standards of practice

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

You will provide valuable HR support which may include recruitment, employment documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits.

You will partner with other key HR disciplines on internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies.

Three (3) or more years of relevant HR experience.

You will be a valued communicator and liaison between departments/divisions.

You will administer HR policies and procedures

Good interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

Minimum of two years of college is required (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

With National Certification OR completion of a Medical Interpreting program offered at a college level:

Completion of a Medical Interpreting program offered at a college level

Strong knowledge of medical vocabulary.

Thorough knowledge of the IMIA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
