Detailed Job Description The Registered Nurse Operating Room is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing surgery in the operating room. The RN OR is responsible for assessing the patient’s condition prior to the procedure, developing a plan of care, implementing the plan of care, and evaluating the patient’s progress during and after the procedure.
