Recovery Area Manager – Tacoma Paper Mill

· Manages production rates and inventories to meet our mill operational needs.

· Manages internal product quality and looks for ways to reduce variability.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.

Utilizes data, information and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.

Effectively uses the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care.

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Two years of nursing experience in recovery room and/or related field such as ICU

Knowledge and understanding of operative procedures and expected postoperative course.

Knowledge and understanding of perioperative nursing care in the free-standing ambulatory unit.

Knowledge of the actions of all appropriate pharmaceuticals and anesthetic agents.

Knowledge of fluid and electrolyte balance.
