Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate inspection results to clients.

At least 5 years in the Elevator industry required.

Must have a high attention to detail and attention to thoroughly inspect equipment.

Must be able to work on top of high rise buildings and in elevator shafts safely.

Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.

Possesses competent knowledge with residential and commercial construction techniques.

This position allows full-time remote field work within the territory

Investigates claims by determining applicable policy coverage, evaluates, negotiates and settles assigned claims.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Refer to Department of Housing & Community Development (DHCD) and International Code Council (ICC) for current certification requirements

Performs entry level work and develops skills in code inspections in accordance with the USBC.

Manages inspection schedule and maintains inspection reports;

Maintains a current knowledge of City and department policies, procedures and guidelines;

Assists other staff by researching specific provisions of codes, ordinances, and related City policies;

Addresses complaints, communicates abatement action, and provides required follow up;

Create strategic routes that drive overall efficiency for remote inspections.

Accreditations to support industry specific experience are a plus.

3 -5 Years of experience in related equipment inspections industry environment.

Travel to residential and commercial properties to conduct various types of exterior and interior inspections.

Excellent Communication both written and oral

Must have an active FAA part 107 License.

Must be able to commute to property locations.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:

Starting salary is dependent upon qualifications, but in most cases is no higher than the midpoint for range.

Measures dwelling units and rooms to determine compliance with ordinance space requirements, using tape measure.

Explains requirements of housing standards ordinance to property owners, building contractors, and other interested parties.

Considerable knowledge of building construction, existing buildings, building codes, housing codes, general construction principles and practices.

Ability to multi-task many variable duties and responsibilities in a fast paced environment.

1+ year(s) experience in Property Management (Preferable)

1+ year(s) experience within the Residential Maintenance Field

Intermediate experience using MS Office applications and G-Suite
