Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools.

Basic computer skills – email, work instructions.

Assembles components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies

Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools

Working with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts

Identify product defects and report on to appropriate personnel

Requirements: Must have previous mechanical assembly experience working in a manufacturing environment. Good hand-eye coordination. Ability to assemble small parts.

Experience with manual coating/painting processes

Experience working within an ordinance environment

Experience working around and with sensitive ESD components

Strong attention to details; must be detail-oriented; accuracy of work is essential.

Demonstrated ability with mechanical assembly processes

· Knowledge using mechanical equipment associated with performance of duties.

· Minimum of 3+ years’ experience

· Experience with material handling equipment

Bloomfield, CT 06002: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Blueprint reading: 1 year (Required)

· Build equipment based on accurate and efficient interpretation of drawings, schematics, blueprints, and sketches

Must have basic experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics and other manufacturing documentation

IPC-620and J-STD-001 certification for electronic assemblies and/or cable assemblies is a plus

Experience in testing electromechanical assemblies is a plus

Experience in maintaining and operating production equipment is a plus

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Assemble mechanical and pneumatic components, into sub-assemblies across multiple models in each of their respective product lines.

Assemble various components into mechanical sub-assemblies per engineering drawings, schematics and diagrams

The ability to work with process engineers to update drawings and schematics on assemblies to ensure proper documentation

Assist process engineers in implementing checks and improvements, "quality at the source", based on feedback and data from downstream operations

Inspect components, prior to assembly, for visual defects and damage

Other duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel.

Follow safety requirements at all times.

Good interpersonal skills to communicate with co-workers and train others.

Manage time and workflow to meet required daily quota.

Must be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

2 – 4 years of equivalent experience.

Computer Skills with proficiency in Word, Outlook, Kronos & PeopleSoft.

Assemble various mechanical devices using drawings, work instructions, operation sheets, and / or schematics.

Perform trouble-shooting tasks as required.

Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation

Present objective evidence to Quality Assurance that tasks were completed to all specifications.

Observe industry best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.

Ensure that all shop instruments used are within calibration due dates.

Verifiable previous experience and or certifications required.

Math skills & able to read a tape measure. (test)

Knowledge of hand tools. (test)

Able to read, write, speak & understand English.

Able & willing to work overtime as needed.

Willingness to do whatever job assigned each day.

Inspect, test and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances and customer order requirements

High School Diploma; and at least one (1) year of mechanical or fabrication experience in a manufacturing/ assembly environment

Studies assembly instructions, prints, and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units

Gather parts, subassemblies, tools and materials

Experience with computers and basic keyboarding skills
