Distribution Center Shift Manager Jobs

Ability to demonstrate successful past leadership in operations, warehouse management, and/or managing personnel.

Continually monitors the condition and quality of finished products and raw materials

Utilizes a 5S and Lean approach to continuously improve day to day operational duties while identifying opportunities to improve processes

Keeps a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe work area that is free from debris and other hazards

Material handling equipment experience preferred

1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment

Experience with ERP, Warehouse Management Systems, Labor Management Systems and Material Handling equipment.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to exercise good judgement in handling difficult situations.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

Manages the Receiving team, including the Receiving Clerks and Put-away /Replenishment Specialists.

Works closely with the demand planning, purchasing, and inventory management teams to maintain accurate inventory for each inventory product/location.

Minimum five (5) years of experience in a distribution warehouse environment required, with hospital system environment preferred.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, or equivalent experience and professional development in Engineering, Logistics or Business-related discipline. Graduate degree preferred

Demonstrates effective problem solving and collaboration skills when appropriate

Proficient in the jobs within the department and has a working knowledge of department functions

Manage projects that support supply chain initiative

Hindsight's and applies past experiences to improve future performance

Three to five years of leadership experience in a high volume, automated, customer focused distribution/productions environment.

Effective knowledge of facility operations and equipment management including implementing process improvements, effective workflow management, and implementing preventative maintenance program.

Knowledge of computerized maintenance management, procurement and service ticket systems

5 years of experience managing skilled trades facilities personnel

Strong understanding of maintenance practices of critical operating equipment including LOTO, hazard identification and appropriate PPE requirements

5 years of supervisory experience

OSHA certifications (10, 30, 50)

7 - 10 years’ relevant HR experience

5 years' minimum experience in a distribution center environment or similar

Labor relations experience in a union environment strongly preferred

Represents organization when engaging with labor relations issues, employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

Partners with peer HRBP’s and COE to deliver seamless support to the organization

Building industry experience and requisite product knowledge

Four-year degree or equivalent experience

Experience in a distribution environment

Experience leading and influencing a team with common or shared goal, providing direction and coaching for performance and development

Experience in one or more of the following areas: employee relations, talent acquisition, organizational strategy, or training and development

Basic knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets, and computer systems (examples include Excel, Word, O365)

2+ years of Warehouse Management Systems experience

Ensures all performance, safety and quality policies/procedures are met for various departments through effective performance management programs.

Manages the performance of third party vendors, including transportation and/or home delivery to uphold accountability for internal and external customers.

5+ years of demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing supervisors in the areas of business, military or related fields.

4+ years of logistics, operational, warehouse, inventory and customer service experience

5+ years of Distribution experience

Warehouse Management System experience preferred

Proven experience as a team manager in a logistics or production environment, ideally warehousing with 10+ years of experience

Manage priorities and staffing to guide the teams, balance the workload and achieve the goals

Ensure the operations are conducted properly, according to processes, standards (including safety and security), and customer requirements

Business experience (budgeting, cost approach, customer centric)

Distribution Center Manager of Michelin Beyond Road, Channahon, IL:

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or related field

Minimum of 7 yrs of HR experience, with at least 5 yrs in a distribution center / manufacturing environment

Prior HR generalist experience with significant employee relations experience is required

Human Resources Certification is preferred

Represents the Company in the community through membership and involvement in various professional and community organizations.

Serves as subject matter expert on Company-wide and cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles

Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
