Class C Driver Regional Jobs

6+ months of experience, preferably in driving shred/box trucks and route management.

Must be 21 years of age or older in route management.

Ability to obtain and retain a valid Medical Examiner Card (MED) route management.

Manages assigned routes ensuring customers’ waste is picked up in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.

Performs other duties and responsibilities, as needed.

Preferred Education: in High School or Equivalent

Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management

1 year of documented relevant driving experience in the last 5 years required

Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:

9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR

2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR

5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

Informs store management or personnel of any customer complaints or requests in a timely manner.

Follows Standard Operating Procedures while carrying out the responsibilities of position.

Complies with all federal, state and local laws.

Collects payment from customers on COD orders and records customer information according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Verifies order details and obtains customer signature on store copy of delivery ticket.

Follows directions or uses a map to locate delivery addresses or locations efficiently.

Pulls orders from inventory, manually and/or utilizing forklift.

Assists counter sales when needed by entering orders into the system and pulling and loading orders.

Must successfully complete all Company training and certification requirements regarding equipment usage, including obtaining McCoy’s forklift certification

Can by reason of training, experience or both, safely operate the type of commercial motor vehicle he/she drives

Is physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with FMCSR requirements

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL DRIVER POSITIONS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Has successfully completed a driver's road test or has presented a copy of his/her commercial driver's license to the motor carrier

Map reading knowledge, basic math, reading and writing

Minimum of 2 years of general truck driving experience

Experience with driving and towing trailers of various sizes

Flatbed truck driving experience is preferred

Experience hauling construction and heavy equipment preferred

Transporting, delivering, and retrieving construction equipment

Forklift experience a plus, but not a requirement

Experience in handling building materials is a plus

Operates forklift and other material handling equipment to pick, load, unload and store materials in the yard

Performs customer deliveries utilizing Class C equipment

Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with company procedures.

Ensures trucks are loaded with equipment and supplies necessary to complete daily assignments.

Maintains communication with and takes route direction from Dispatcher and reports any unusual circumstances.

Assists warehouse staff and others to prepare loads, maintain documentation, and clean warehouses.

Delivers merchandise to customers and contacts customers if they are not present.

Loads truck with daily merchandise to be delivered and unloads merchandise for customers.
