Responsibilities

Clean Harbors – Manhattan Beach, CA is looking for an InSite Chemist/Class C, Hazmat Endorsed Driver to join their safety conscious team! This person would be operating a box truck vehicle transporting various loads from one building to another around our client location in Manhattan Beach, CA.

**MUST HAVE Hazmat Endorsement**

Key Responsibilities:

• Guarantees placarding of vehicle to meet Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations;
• Picks up waste from customer locations utilizing vans, roll-off and/or tanker units;
• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Properly secures the loads;
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports.
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste;

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• Hazmat endorsement required;
• Class C DL license required;
• Ability to perform manual labor as required (heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time);
• Previous commercial driving experience, hazmat transportation strongly preferred;
• Ability to use a handheld device.
