Operate ice-making machinery in a safe and professional manner.

Make ice and maintain ice with NCAA and industry safety standards. Make ice hourly or when needed.

Log ice-making and locker room checking times.

Oversees the scheduling and management of Musco lightning

Responsible for home game management and supervision of custodial and security personnel assigned to facilities as assigned for intercollegiate athletics

Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or similar field

Ensures all paperwork for ProCard and budget responsibilities are submitted in a timely fashion as requested by the Director of Athletics

Ascertains requirements for non-college sponsored events and provide necessary support and accounting services

Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Submit a statement concerning how you will promote multicultural, gender fair and students with disabilities in your program

Abide by the rules of the game in letter and spirit.

Know, understand, support and adhere to school, district, state and national policies and philosophies.

Keep an up-to-date list of team members by grade and ID number.

Provide an environment free of safety hazards.

Understand and practice the proper care and prevention of injuries.

A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the above minimum qualifications.

Maintains current knowledge of tournaments, games, and programs through professional organizations.

Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory position related to athletics.

Broad experience in many different types of athletic programming.

Broad experience in scheduling league and tournament play, including officials.

Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification preferred.

Must possess leadership skills, and be able to set an example for the players.

Excellent communication skills in order to inspire players and work with them on improvement.

The High School Athletic Coach will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:

IHSA QUALIFICATIONS OF A COACH

In addition to the IHSA qualifications, the High School Athletic Coach must also possess the following qualifications:

Hold tryouts for students of a high school to attend.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Maintain student athlete records to for eligibility certification.

Provide academic data for NCAA and Sunshine State Conference reporting requirements as needed, such as the GSR and ASR reports.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Working knowledge and proficiency of MS Office.

Perceptive Content/Jenzabar/Workday/NCAA Apps experience a plus.

Previous Collegiate, club, or high school coaching experience required.

CPR and AED certifications. May obtain during employment.

Manage and submit all required paperwork for participation.

Demonstrated knowledge of the sport and leading/organizing a team

Completion of annual Youth Sports Concussion Training Certification

Successful completion of the MIAA Coaches Education Course
