Knowledge of public administration and general management principles, practices and techniques including federal, state and county government operations

Excellent skill in project management

Prepares confidential and substantive correspondence for manager’s signature.

Knowledge of WIOA, particularly in terms of the Youth Program

Knowledge of local youth service delivery organizations and resources

Skill in enhancing the ability of young people to succeed in the world of work

Strong organizational and project management skills.

May be required to participate in regular Program Committee and/or Outcomes Management Committee meetings

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.

KEY ROLES; Essential Job Responsibilities

Establish Club program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to communicate with teachers and parents to support the educational progress of the students,

Act as a mentor and educational advocate to assist in the students’ progress,

Plan and implement activities that encourage educational achievement;

Act as a liaison between the Tribal community and educational agencies on behalf of Tribal students and parents;

Advocate for students and parents with individual teachers, schools and educational agencies.

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirements:

Provide support and education to families and caregivers as identified by the client treatment plan.

Bachelor’s degree completed in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field is required OR 3 years of experience.

Minimum of 1-year experience working with TAY population, and TAY experiencing homelessness is required; 2+ years’ experience is highly preferred.

Minimum of 1-year experience with crisis intervention/de-escalation techniques; 2+ years’ experience is highly preferred.

Effective communication skills including writing, public speaking, and conflict resolution/mediation skills.
