Young Adult Internship Assistant Jobs in New York

Previous production experience managing a variety of backlist titles, including 1/c and/or 4/c paperback, hardcover, picture books, and novels

Strong communication skills, both verbal & written, with internal staff and external persons

General computer knowledge – MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Knowledge of SAP a plus

Review titles on weekly reprints agenda, create, and track purchase orders

Estimate and place orders for rush requests

General experience working with the public and diverse communities

Excellent customer relations and communication skills

Knowledge of young adult literature and programming

Working knowledge of current and emerging library technology, service and programming trends for young adults, and urban public library issues

Provides reference and reader’s advisory services for all age groups utilizing print and electronic resources

Develops, maintains, and promotes the young adult collection in the branch

Ability to work well with "At-Risk" students. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Satisfactory performance last three years.

Excellent record of attendance and punctuality.

Pick up attendance folders from classrooms and bubble in attendance.
