Overview A Yard Jockey is a professional driver who is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers and containers within a yard or terminal. They are responsible for the loading and unloading of trailers, the positioning of trailers for loading and unloading, and the movement of trailers and containers within the yard. Detailed Job Description A Yard Jockey is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers and containers within a yard or terminal. This includes the loading and unloading of trailers, the positioning of trailers for loading and unloading, and the movement of trailers and containers within the yard. The Yard Jockey must ensure that all trailers and containers are properly secured and that all safety regulations are followed. The Yard Jockey must also be able to communicate effectively with other drivers, dispatchers, and yard personnel. Job Skills Required

Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
