Wireless Software Performance Engineer Jobs

Hands-on experience in 802.11 lower level MAC and FW/Driver (management path and data path) development.

System firmware development including power-management, RTOS and/or bare-metal implementations.

Interface and collaborate with wireless chipset vendors to ensure vendor's MAC HW/SW architectures and implementation meet AR/VR spec and performance requirements.

Design, implement and integrate wireless MAC/FW/Driver that will be tightly coupled with AR/VR usage scenarios, with stringent performance and power requirements.

5+ years of experience in embedded firmware/driver development in C/C++

Experience with wireless communication software/firmware architecture, 802.11 and BT wireless communication principles and protocols

Experience working with highly distributed and scalable systems

2 + Years working with C++, Python or Java

Strong understanding of high level system design

Outstanding academic background - Ideally Computer Science Degree from an Ivy League University

BS/MS or higher in computer science or a related engineering field (or equivalent experience)

Excellent C and C++ programming skills

6+ years of relevant proven experience

Experience with performance analysis, optimizations and benchmarking

You have excellent analytical, written and verbal interpersonal skills

Experience implementing algorithms in Robotics, Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning

Good working knowledge and experience in microservices based enterprise application setup and test executions.

Good working knowledge and experience in distributed enterprise application deployments in cloud native deployment setups.

Working knowledge Experience in setup / configure and monitor of test environments in the cloud.

Excellent team and communications and collaboration skills.

Excellent problem solving and creative thinking skills.

Very strong programming skills in advance Java.

Solid C/C++ coding abilities; Python experience is a plus

Proven excellence in firmware, device driver, or equivalent for experienced candidates

Knowledge of real-time audio, DSP or wireless technologies is preferred

Strong analytical and software debugging skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.

Write software to dynamically manage groups of 802.11 devices.

Work with our customers and product managers to fix issues and develop new features.

Experience developing for the Linux kernel and OS.

Strong knowledge of 802.11/WiFi protocols.

Strong knowledge of wired protocols.

Strong knowledge of CPU architecture.
