Six (6) months supervisory or lead experience or completion of the City’s Employee and Leadership Development Program.
Effectively train others in technical procedures, techniques and skills.
Leads crews and actively works with them in all phases of construction and maintenance activities at the Municipal Wharf.
Performs and directs all activities of a wharf construction crew (as delineated in the Wharf Construction Worker specification).
Receives and communicates daily assignments; responsible for the completion of all verbal and written instructions.

Plans, schedules and directs the work of the Wharf crews and ensures that the crews perform safely.
Makes hiring recommendations; develops work schedules; directs training programs; completes or reviews performance evaluations; maintains discipline and productivity of crews.
Monitors activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, performance and operation standards and other local, State or Federal regulations.
