Water Pollution Enforcement Manager Jobs

Building/Enforcement Manager in the Building Services Division of Planning & Development Services

Pre-employment Medical Screening: Approximately 3 days following successful background investigation results.

Anticipated Start Date: Start date will be based upon successful completion of medical screening or other mutually agreed upon date.

THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR APPOINTMENT AT STEP 1, $

Collects wastewater samples and performs laboratory tests associated with process and permit requirements; cleans tanks and maintain buildings and grounds.

Operates all wastewater treatment equipment, machinery and facilities by using manual, electronic and computer control systems to regulate and control processes.

Monitors gauges, meters, charts, graphs and operates pumps, valves, electric motors, adjusting related equipment to operational needs.

Uses all tools, equipment and materials responsibly, performs inspections. Responds to emergencies as directed at any time of day or night.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities

Specific License or Certification Required:

Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization

Bachelor's degree with major course work in liberal arts, public administration, criminal justice, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience.

Two years experience as a Code Enforcement Officer.

Penal Code 832 certification within one year of employment.

Knowledge of the procedures and methods involved in investigating violations and preparing cases for court, testifying in court, and related matters.

Knowledge of office procedures, practices, and equipment.

REMOTE WORK: The option to work partially remote is available after 6 months of employment
