Upper School History Teacher Jobs in Illinois

Have significant experience living or working in French speaking countries.

Have at least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably at the high school level.

Demonstrate interest in or experience using standards-based grading.

Teach 4 classes per semester

Serve as an advisor to 8-10 students

Attend weekly required meetings (division, department, all-school)

Reflect on teaching practice, often trying new approaches to create an equitable and engaging experience for all students in science

Master's degree in Education or Biology, Chemistry, or related fieldis preferred. At least Bachelor's degree is required.

At least 3-5 years' experience teaching grades 9-12

Teach four classes within the Science department, primarily chemistry or biology

Collaborate with a team of teachers on curriculum and assessment

Value the opportunity to serve as a student advisor

Work effectively to partner with parents and faculty advisor in the student’s education experience

Experience integrating technology and regular lab experiences into the curriculum
