Ultrasonographer Martin Jobs in Kansas

Participates in ongoing continuing education and training to maintain current in areas of expertise.

Reviews patient history and other supporting data to facilitate optimum diagnostic results.

Explains procedures to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results;positions patient.

Evaluates clarity and accuracy of ultrasound data. Assists in the operating room performing ultrasound procedures as needed.

Maintains Infection Control Policies with regard to cleanliness of equipment and environment of the ultrasound work areas.

Collects pertinent data relating to ultrasound needed for any ongoing special studies or research projects being performed by our facility.

Graduate of AMA accredited education program of health science education

Clinical imaging experience from AMA accredited sonography program

Competent in delivering safe and effective patient care within legal limits of license and certifications and hospital policies and procedures

Knowledge of the continuum of care provided in the patient care department

ARDMS registered or registry eligible

Must obtain registry within one year of hire if new graduate; If on-the-job trained, must complete registry within 2 years

Abide by Stormont Vail’s Remote Worker Policy and will review and acknowledge the Remote Work Agreement annually.

Experience utilizing imaging equipment. Preferred

Experience in a hospital or clinical setting. Preferred

Demonstrates knowledge of and performs proper high-level disinfection processes for probe care. (If applicable)

Rotating call is a requirement of the position. (Manhattan/Emporia exempt from call)

Complies with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health
