One year of experience as a radiologic technologist preferred.

Current state licensure and certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking X-rays following established procedures. Instructs patients regarding procedures. Observes patient’s vital signs during examination.

Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.

Maintains accurate radiology records as directed and logs all procedures completed. Processes routine paperwork and files reports.

Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis.

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA)

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification required within 12 months of hire

Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. (20%)

Experience: Non-certified applicants may be considered for this position with acceptable surgical technology experience.

Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Preferred Education: Successful completion of a Postsecondary certificate or associate degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited surgical technology program.

Preferred Licensure: Certification: Surgical Technology Certification preferred.

Prepares and administers medications and treatments with knowledge of purpose and adverse effects of nursing care provided

Is aware of safety issues, accomplishing responsibilities in a safe manner, re-enforces good safety practices displayed by other staff members

Knowledge of protocol if QC fails

Knowledge of critical values for glucose testing, CBC, and CMP

Preparing patients for radiologic exams.

Take x-rays ensuring patient care and safety.

Proficiency in electronic records systems is preferred. Must have strong data entry skills

Minimum of 2 years experience preferred

Exceptional customer service, interpersonal skills, and communication skills

Develops and processes radiologic film.

Performs related administrative duties including completing necessary forms, labeling films, and film envelopes, and maintaining procedure logs.

Retrieves radiologic orders from and inputs related data into the electronic medical record.

Knowledge of surgical instruments procedures and related supplies

Knowledge of patient legal rights

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and microbiology

Ability to establish effective working relationships with hospital personnel, patients, and visitors

Completion of surgical technologist training program

Demonstrates at time of employment and every two years thereafter, competency in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Offer comprehensive technical assistance during routine and sophisticated procedures

Prepare equipment, supplies, and surgical environment efficiently meeting all expectations and requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent education.

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and national certification (NBSTSA)

One to Two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred

Superb communication skills and a high standard of integrity

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Surgical Technology.

License/Certifications: Certification required within one year of employment for those hired after 7/1/05.

This position is temporary and not eligible for benefits

To qualify, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in that specialty area.

Salary will be $75.00 per hour plus applicable shift differential

36 hours per week/72 hours per pay period

12-hour shifts or unit designated work hours
