They must also be able to recognize any changes in the patient’s condition and take appropriate action. After the procedure, they must clean and sterilize the equipment and dispose of any waste materials. Job Skills Required Travel Cath Lab Techs must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals. They must also have excellent technical skills in order to operate and maintain the equipment used in the procedure.
