Travel Booking Agent Jobs in Maryland

Provide clients with information such as advisories and passport requirements

Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Consult with clients to determine their needs and preferences

Research and recommend destinations, accommodations, and transportation options based on preferences and budget

Book arrangements, including flights, hotels, rental cars, and activities, using online booking systems

Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple bookings and prioritize tasks.

Prior travel industry experience is a plus (but not a requirement), demonstrating familiarity with booking procedures and industry knowledge.

Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and vendors.

Comfortable working in a remote setting, maintaining professionalism and efficiency.

Full training program provided; no prior experience necessary.

Excellent knowledge of use of phone and computer

Strong sales skills and commercial awareness is a plus, but not required

Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage

Planning and selling transportations, accommodations, insurance and other travel services

Cooperating with clients to determine their needs and advising them appropriate destination, modes of transportations, travel dates, costs and accommodations

Providing relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events etc) to travelers

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Act as a trusted advisor by offering informed and insightful recommendations that provide the best traveler experience

Escalate most complex bookings to more experienced staff

Good verbal and written communication skills
