Transporter Aide Jobs

Demonstrate appropriate technical proficiency in utilizing cleaning appliances (e.g., washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher).

Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to photocopying, laminating, preparing packages and envelopes for mailing, and filing patient records.

Maintain program supplies, including providing alerts for ordering, inventory control, labeling, and storing supplies.

Participate in maintenance, organization, care, cleaning, transport, tracking, scheduling, and safe storage of equipment.

Identify and correct/report quality control problems, such as removal and coordination of repair of broken equipment, or environmental hazards.

Attend staff and supervisory meetings and training sessions.

General knowledge of patient transport and age-specific interactions and patient transport experience is extremely desirable.

Receives assignments for specific trips and associated tasks from Manager and/or Dispatchers.

Obtaining CPR certification required within (12) months of start date.

Minimum of one to three months experience in a healthcare setting, especially in a role, which interacts with patients, is preferred.

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Adaptability: Includes teamwork and flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities including adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback.

Efficiency and Effectiveness: Includes quantity and quality of desired work, as well as organization skills necessary to perform successfully.

Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Needs minimal sustained direction in assessing work load, defining priorities and carrying out departmental responsibilities, self-starter and self-motivating.
