Maintain and update carrier rates in the computer/s ensuring that the most recent disks are obtained from the carriers and installed.
Maintain a central file of all carrier information creating a history of all changes to pricing and service levels.

Transportation Routers are responsible for planning and scheduling the most efficient routes for the transportation of goods. They must be able to analyze data, develop cost-effective and efficient routes, and work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and within budget. Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing data to determine the most efficient routes for shipments
• Developing cost-effective and efficient routes for clients
• Working with customers, carriers, and other departments to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and within budget
• Monitoring shipments and making adjustments as needed
• Keeping up-to-date on industry trends and regulations
• Generating reports and providing feedback to stakeholders
