Transportation Project Engineer Jobs in Texas

High school diploma or GED plus six (6) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.

An associate degree in any field plus four (4) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.

Prior experience in project coordination, contract management or project delivery in a public sector setting is a plus.

Bachelor's degree or higher in a business, public administration, engineering, architecture, or construction management field.

Two (2) years of experience in any of the following:

Experience in transportation engineering and project management.

Engage in project management activities.

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, EIT certification required.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Conduct transportation studies, impact assessments, and corridor analyses.

Successful candidates must possess excellent written and verbal skills. Project management, estimating, and scheduling skills are essential.

Specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position include:

Automated design and project management systems.

To prepare clear, comprehensive, and concise technical and management reports.

Knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of engineering.

Presenting project information at public meetings and before the County's Board of Supervisors.

Three (3) years relevant experience in airport operations, operations center management and/or project coordination/management.

Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, operations management, communications, business or public administration, or a related field.

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.

You will be a subject-matter expert for TBU strategic initiatives to support their definition, development & implementation.

To create the Blackout platform, you will leverage SharePoint for creation & deployment.

Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
