Theatrical And Performing Arts Director Jobs in New York

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Knowledge of/and experience in a variety of costume construction techniques including tailoring, period construction techniques, and alterations

Advanced skills in hand and machine sewing and finishing with an understanding of theatrical costume and construction techniques and terms

Demonstrated knowledge in theatrical construction and quick rigging techniques

Experience in the live entertainment and event production industries preferred

Constructand/or alterall assigned costumes according to the supervisor’s specifications.

Manage key distribution operational functions, including:

3-6 years relevant experience, ideally in film distribution or exhibition

Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To

Own departmental reporting including upcoming playdates and revenue projections

Print deliverables between the internal teams and our external vendors

Experience and interest in working with high school-age students who are completing a college level course of study is desired

M.A./M.F.A. in visual or performing arts (required), Ph.D. preferred.

Works with senior management to create a vision and strategy for performing arts

Manage Oversee all the preform marketing efforts, public relations efforts, and all ticketing policies and procedures for the programming.

Administer all fundraising efforts, including project sponsors, corporate, foundation, government, and individual solicitations, and manage direct contributions from board members.

Work closely with the Business Manager to ensure prompt payments and generate seasonal payroll information for board meetings.

Manages revenue targets and financial plans, reporting on financial operations consistent with best practices in the not-for-profit/public sectors

Participate in curriculum development (especially for new elective courses).

Commitment to working with students individually and in small groups through tutoring, office hours and advising outside of regular class time.

Communicate regularly with administrators, parents and other stakeholders about student progress and engagement.
