Education / Training / Skills / Experience

Experience and knowledge of a hardware description language such as Verilog and VHDL

Extensive experience in implementation of Atmel / Microchip microcontrollers

Experience with Ground and/or Airborne Military radio equipment

Experience with working with displays such as OLED, LCD, etc.

Build/construct new interfaces for new products and update fixtures for existing products.

2-5 years of previous management or lead experience.

Present test results/metrics and project plans to senior management teams, justify need for resources and secure funding for new projects/improvements.

You have experience leading remote teams, facilitating communication and standardizing expectation, reports, metrics and processes globally.

Deep knowledge of wireless technologies (BT/BLE) and experience working with embedded products/devices

Specifies test equipment and Software tools required for product verification or qualification testing.

Past experience with connectivity, interference and range testing for wireless/mobile devices and building test infrastructure to test such conditions.

2-5 years of experience in lab or workshop settings.

Strong communication skills and team mentality.

Experience with test design and setup, data acquisition and analysis.

Build and direct an engineering team focused on delivering the test results Tesla needs

Be a trusted source for effective and accurate root cause analysis of product failure modes

Characterize variation in results from existing test rigs, examples being short circuit, crush, and provoked thermal runaway.

Interests and aspirations to pursue a career in test program management for vehicle, component or system level testing

Work with DRE’s and technical program managers to clarify components availability

Optimize reporting processes and methodology for DV & PV test plans

Ensure issues creation and tracking process is being followed

Define KPI’s for component test

Support test team in preparation/creation of test reports

Able to demonstrate how you have applied technical knowledge and engineering skills to solve problems

Experiences in using CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) such as Solidworks, Unigraphics or similar

Solving engineering challenges to create better, faster, more cost-effective solutions for Dyson’s unique products

Conceptualizing and Designing experiments and necessary rigs/fixtures for component and system characterisation and validation

Investigating, Developing and Building the test rigs/fixtures to meet test specifications

Testing and Assessing robustness of our rigs/fixtures designs to provide repeatable and reliable test results

Understanding of Engineering, Tooling, Production, Program Management and Government Subcontracts processes.

Determine and develop staffing profiles and schedules to meet program requirements.

Ability to multitask, manage projects and build cohesive teams in order to meet targets and objectives.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Experienced in dynamic environments where there may be schedule changes, design changes and validation failures.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Assist the Engineering Test Lab in carrying out product development testing

Design and fabricate test fixtures

Develop mechanical and/or electromechanical test machines

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering

Advantest 93K, Teradyne UFLEX, or other relevant ATE experience preferred

Manage test development from design kick-off to production release

Masters or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of experience

Strong communication and problem solving skills

RF communication experience/theory a big plus

Drive the debug of design and process related yield and performance problems

Create and manage Nonconformance reports (NCRs).

2 years equivalent work experience in Quality or Oil & Gas industries or Manufacturing

Knowledge of utilizing process meters and simulators.

Knowledge of MWD tools and how they operate.

Inspect incoming and outgoing parts.

Generate and compile all test documentation (Training Provided).

Assist with the Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Documentation of software solutions.

Development of new software as required by the company.

Development of improvements to our existing solutions as required by the company.

Assist with support of existing software solutions.

Currently studying for a degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science

Exposure to programming languages (C#, VB, etc.)
