This position is Temporary for the 23-24 school year and is on an as needed basis.

Summer Security Assistant (Temporary, Part-time)

What will you bring to the team?

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Assist with a variety of whole group and small group educational, enrichment and

Obtain communication skills through troubleshooting and accommodating, but not

Administrative Services Credential preferred but not required

Ability to work cooperatively with staff and community

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.

Maintains document control, database management, project tracking and contributes to team communications.

Provides data coordination and data entry services for improvement projects supported by the department.

Work requires a high school level of educational development.

Work requires the analytical skills and judgment to interpret data and take the appropriate action in circumstances or situations vary.

Gathers project information: schedules, data requests, issue logs, project plans, communications, assignment task, and project meetings.

Works with project team to understand and assist with tracking all work, task and project assignments.

Reinforces all knowledge and skills taught by the classroom teacher.

Sensory (ADA) Requirements: The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities.

Subjects: ELA, Math, Special Education

Basic knowledge of child growth and development, instructional procedures and practices applicable to assignment, instructional goals and policies of the District

Knowledge of subject matter reinforcement practices of the classes to which assigned

Staff PD: Tuesday June 6, 2023 to Friday June 9, 2023

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with certification or license in specialty / subject matter.

Experience/expertise in an enrichment area; certification may be required.

CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention trainings.

Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.

Previous experience with diverse populations.

At least 18 years of age.

2-3 years of teaching experience (preferred)

Minimum of GaPSC Level 4 Certification in Spanish; OR

Communicate effectively with students, parents or guardians, school personnel, and other stakeholders in ways that enhance student learning
