Teacher Music Elementary Jobs in Texas

Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.

Manage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.

Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.

Valid Texas Elementary/Secondary Music Certification

[Physical Education Teachers: Current automated external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate]

Knowledge of core academic or area of teaching assignment

Create individualized lesson plans based on student's goals, interests, and skill level

Instruct students on proper playing techniques, musical theory, and performance skills

Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate students of varying ages and skill levels

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Teaching experience is a plus, but not required

Experience working with children is a plus, but not required
