Teacher Assistant Preschool Jobs in Oregon

Remaining compliant with all state licensing requirements as they pertain to health, safety, and professional requirements

Participating in classroom coaching cycles

Engaging with children to support development and learning

Supervising and providing a safe and nurturing environment for children

Recognizing the needs of individual children and groups

Providing the appropriate social emotional and learning supports

Responsibilities will include daily cleaning.

Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.

Assist in the implementation of activities and maintain a positive, calm environment.

Actively engage with children and support co-workers.

Help ensure smooth, daily transition between home and school.

Follow all center policies and state regulations.

Minimum two years experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.

Criminal background check and registry in Oregon Department of Education’s Central Background Registry.

Strong leadership skills and confidence with children.

Rotate between the Junior and Senior classrooms, on a schedule set by the Lead Teachers.

Assist the Lead Teachers in before school setup and prep.

2. Assist in organizing and preparing materials for instruction.

4. Relieve teacher of some clerical duties such as checking tests, completing records, filing materials and typing.

5. Moderate and monitor discussions in small groups.

6. Assist student groups in carrying out special assignments.

7. Take attendance and keep records; supervise testing; check students' written work for teacher evaluation.

8. Collect, record and account for monies.
