Preparing analyses of statistical reports for distribution to staff and for transmittal to managers.

Interviews will be limited to candidates whose experience and training most closely meet the requirements of the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Assist in review of educational mineral collecting program permit applications;

Oral and written communication skills;

Note: this position may be approved for remote work from a different U.S. location

Coursework related to statistics, research design, or survey methodology; or demonstrated work experience in similar fields

Very strong quantitative, data analysis, and problem solving skills

Bachelor's Degree in social science (political science, sociology, economics, etc.), statistics, applied public policy or similar field; or equivalent work experience

Experience with research methods, including survey design and statistical evaluation of data in a work or academic setting

Experience using SPSS, Stata, R or other statistical package

Work with datasets (e.g., run frequencies, compute means), manage datasets, and assist in data cleaning

Ensure full compliance with all contract requirements, schedules, and provisions

Possess strong writing and analytic skills

Communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients

Mathematical skills to process complex calculations

Problem-solving skills to find multiple viable solutions for a challenge
