Surgical Tech Operating Room Jobs in Utah

Obtains all necessary referrals and pre-certifications for surgery and any testing.

Three (3) years experience in a surgical office preferred

Qualifications for this position include:

Schedules surgical cases for physicians according to physician and patient preference.

Assists physicians with transfers, ER/direct admissions as needed.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology and anatomy.

Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.

Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA.

Current certification as a Certified Technologist in Surgery (TS-C) through NCCT

* Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Certification for Surgical Technologist within one (1) year of hire to the job preferred..

Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in OB or in the Operating Room.

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology.

Graduate of a school for Surgical Technologists.

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.

Ability to communicate in English in both reading and writing.
