Mastery of and enthusiasm for arts education;

Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills;

Minimum of two years art teaching experience in urban public school setting preferred, but not required;

Develop and implement rigorous, standards-aligned lesson plans;

Build positive relationships with students grounded in respect, enthusiasm, achievement, courage, hard work and self-determination through structured social-emotional learning;

Establish and lead a well-rounded first-class art program at Vista College Prep;

Experience working with children with various learning and physical disabilities preferred.

Experience working with school- aged children.

Obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification.

Assists with personal care activities for special education self- contained students, including feeding, toileting and medical protocol.
