Minimum Educational Requirements HS diploma

At least three or more successful years working in an educational environment supervising children

Provides meaningful instruction to students

Reviews and implements regular classroom routines, procedures, lesson plans and instructional strategies.

Participates in grade-level meetings, faculty meetings, student intervention teams and other committees normally assigned to the regular classroom teacher

Establishes and maintains a safe and orderly learning environment for all students

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Adheres to all diocesan and school policies and regulations, while supporting the school’s spiritual, pastoral and educational mission.

Must maintain Professional Educator certification in the State of Florida.

Must have or be able to obtain within two years Basic Diocesan Ministry Certification.

Maintains physical and informational security at all times, respecting confidentiality and privacy.

Works collaboratively in a positive, friendly and professional manner.

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in the content area or

Current teaching certificate (in any subject area)

Working knowledge of New Educator Training program requirements

Certification in Elementary Education or Secondary Core Area (ELA, Reading, Math, Social Studies, and/or Science)

Five (5) years of teaching experience Clinical Ed training or willingness to complete within one (1) year

Three (3) years of teaching experience with CCPS

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

Serves as a resource to PPC meetings to provide curriculum and instruction knowledge when requested.
