Must certify in welding procedures for LPR (See weld test pre-employment requirements below)

NCCER Certification for Craft preferred

Join structural members together with welding procedures SMAW and/or FCAW.

Perform work safely, complying with LPR policies at all times.

Use appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble, weld and install all types of structural steel pieces.

Knowledge and experience in modeling and drafting of steel structures.

Working knowledge of PDMS/E3D,and AutoCAD – Minimum 8 years’ experience

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Prepare structural design 2D drawings and 3D models based on engineering information, site data and customer requirements. Examples include:

Seeks input from knowledgeable sources, considers constructability, operability, and maintainability into design

Other responsibilities include preparing as-built drawings, design and detailing new components

Additional responsibilities not listed may be required

Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience

May be required to use Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, Gas-Tungsten Arc, Submerged Arc or Shielded Metal Arc welding processes

Examines weld for bead size and other specifications

Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Repetitive Motions

Dismantles, constructs, and repairs small county bridges.

Repairs and maintains heavy equipment.

Repairs and maintains light and water towers.

Bolts, rivets, and welds structural members.

Installs and ties reinforcing bars for construction projects.

Erects and dismantles scaffolding in connection with repair work.

Preferably 2 year Minimum Experience in Fabrication

Verify or Assist with Verification of Fit-up, prior to Weld-out as required.

Complete and inspect all Weld Passes.

Inspect Equipment (Welding Machine, Leads, Flux-Core Box, Grinder, Etc.), at the Start of Every Shift

Preferably high school diploma or equivalent

•Knowledge of structural detailing using AutoCAD.

•Proficiency and experience in commercial CAD software like AutoCad, Solidworks

•Experience in preparing fabrication drawing with all details, Bill of material, weld etc

•Experience in preparing As-built drawing

•Experience in creating 3D model of ship in AutoCad and Solidworks

•Experience in working where multiple disciplines are working together

Train and mentor less experienced designers

4+ years’ experience working on heavy industrial/steel-making structural projects

Demonstrated proficiency (minimum of 1 year experience) working with Revit and AutoCAD

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Working knowledge of Navisworks and Bluebeam

Prefer VT 3.10 qualification, or have the ability and knowledge to obtain qual

Must possess energetic, positive attitude and be willing to change, develop and adapt as the requirements of the assigned tasks dictate.

Must possess strong leadership and analytical, causal analysis, communication, organizational, planning, and writing skills under minimal supervision.

Knowledge of SP/SSP's, MDP's/MDD's, SI's, SDD's, and DI's is a plus.

Must be able to qualify and maintain Respiratory Protection certification.

Must be able to qualify and maintain Fall Arrest Protection certification.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:

Able to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill of civil type construction and apply hands-on supervision with effective leadership.

Read specifications, such as blueprints and data, to determine construction requirements.

May be required to manage a subcontractor.

Have a thorough understanding of Trench Safety Procedures and Requirements.
