Overview State Public Assistance Officers are responsible for providing assistance to individuals and families in need of financial assistance. They must be knowledgeable about the various types of assistance available and be able to assess the needs of individuals and families. Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, or a related field
• Previous experience working with individuals and families in need of assistance

• Ability to work with other organizations to provide resources and services
