Staff Search Engineer Jobs

5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning, and/or natural language processing.

3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.

Expert knowledge in Solr and hands-on experience with MACH architecture.

Utilize your expert knowledge in Solr to build and optimize high-performance search solutions.

Design, develop, and implement industry-leading search experiences to enhance customer satisfaction.

Typically requires 7 to 10 years of experience with a strong focus on search technologies

Hands-on experience with Apache Beam/Spark, showcasing a deep understanding of data processing frameworks.

Passion for delivering top-notch search experiences and driving innovation in the field.

Collaborate closely with product management and other technical leaders in bringing search experience concepts into the hands of millions of users

Build and maintain APIs that drive our user's experience, integrating with services and systems across the MyFitnessPal engineering teams

Substantial development and administration experience in search technology (Elasticsearch, Opensearch, Apache Solr, and/or Algolia)

Experience in performance tuning, query analysis, defining success criteria and metrics, designing ranking and relevance experiments and optimizing Elasticsearch

Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery options for search

Observed and identified service pain points, priorities, requirements, and success criteria
