Engineering project management, including developing cost estimates and project schedules, and driving a complex project through completion.

Manage small pressure system / structural projects from conception through design, manufacturing, construction, field installation and commissioning.

Manage pressure systems Vendors (including their technical design, schedule, quality, etc).

Specify and manage inspection, testing and maintenance of new and existing pressure systems.

Prepare cost estimates and schedules to support planning and reporting requirements.

Proactively comply with all SLAC environmental, safety, and health (ES&H) requirements.

Knowledge of ASME B31.1, ASME Section III, ASME Section IX, and NRC requirements for piping design.

7-10 years of experience in the nuclear or relevant industry performing Structural/seismic design/analysis.

Must meet Nuclear requirements for Unescorted Plant Access.

Greater than seven years of experience in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering.

Experience in pipe stress and pipe support analysis, design, and software analysis tools such as ME-101 or equivalent.

Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools and strong technical understanding and experience assessing vulnerabilities and identifying weaknesses in cloud infrastructure services.

Partner with stakeholders to drive down vulnerabilities and develop mitigationstrategiesacross the organization.

Experience with disaster recovery planning and engineering

Hand on experience working on type certification of an aircraft from concept to issuance of type certificate

Engagement with foreign regulatory agencies to ensure alignment with FAA Type Certification

Coordinate and develop Certification Plans

Strong understanding of Systems and Equipment (Subpart F) qualification methods and means of compliance.

Working knowledge of ARP4754 and ARP4761

Working knowledge of RCTA DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254

Bring engineering rigor to resolution of problems that are sometimes loosely- or only partially-defined, requiring knowledge and experience within given discipline.

Advanced Degree preferable or minimum of 2 years of experience required

Experience working in a laboratory is preferred (performing testing and experiments).

Position requires a current AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification (CWI or SCWI). If CWI, then LANL will facilitate obtaining SCWI.

Experience working at a Department of Energy site.

Proven experience in overseeing the design, development and implementation of software systems, applications and related products.

Additional background and certifications in, HP, Dell, EMC, Pure and/or Cisco storage and server solutions are a plus

Working knowledge of storage/server virtualization platforms (NSX, VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.)

Ability to describe and differentiate the features, benefits and disadvantages of competing virtualization and cloud platforms

Individual must be highly resourceful and independent with the ability to quickly learn multiple disciplines and achieve manufacturer certification levels

Develops and maintain engineering and architectural standards for on premise/hybrid compute, storage and data protections services

Lead cross-functional teams to manage/resolve long term system performance issues

7 - 15 years related industry experience

Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
