For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied: $142,438.40 - $196,560.00 annually.

Overview A Specialty Pharmacy Technician is a healthcare professional who works in a pharmacy to assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, as well as providing customer service and other related duties. They are responsible for ensuring that all medications are dispensed correctly and in a timely manner. They must also be knowledgeable about the various types of medications and their uses, as well as the laws and regulations governing the dispensing of medications. Detailed Job Description Specialty Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for providing customer service, filling prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records. They must be knowledgeable about the various types of medications and their uses, as well as the laws and regulations governing the dispensing of medications. They must also be able to accurately enter patient information into the pharmacy computer system. Specialty Pharmacy Technicians must also be able to answer customer questions and provide advice on the use of medications. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and abbreviations
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
• Ability to accurately enter patient information into the pharmacy computer system
• Ability to provide customer service
• Ability to accurately fill prescriptions
• Ability to maintain accurate records
• Ability to answer customer questions and provide advice on the use of medications
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
• State licensure (where applicable)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and abbreviations
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
• Knowledge of the various types of medications and their uses
Job Experience
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician
• Previous experience in a specialty pharmacy
Job Responsibilities
