Spaceport Aerospace Engineer Jobs

You will provide special technical expertise and leadership in complex coordination and management of all contractor engineering and product assurance efforts.

You will assure that configuration control of weapons systems is in compliance with the approved Configuration Management processes.

You will influence, lead, monitor, and approve contractor design and product quality assurance efforts in satisfying contractual requirements for various subsystems.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

You will implement program policy, engineering criteria, and provide information to the prime contractor and Navy field activities.

Explain design features and capture requirements while working with customers.

Create and own aerodynamics and vehicle performance requirements in product specifications.

Analyze heat flow and recommend design changes to meet de-icing/anti-icing requirements for Flight Into Known Icing (FIKI) certified aircraft.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of control theory, particularly the application to feedback loops and control laws used by avionics to control vehicle flight.

Experience in the following topics is desirable but not required:

Brings current knowledge of requirements, operations and procurement processes of the private and public sectors of the commercial space Industry.

Provides customer and project management support for various activities from simple events to customer relationships.

Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position.

These combinations of education and experience qualify you for the position:

Prepares CONOPS and operational requirements for presentation, discussion and agreement with potential customers.

Attends Industry conferences; prepares and delivers technical papers and provides updates on NMSA activities and capabilities.
