Minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience with a specialization in social studies

Experience modeling effective instruction, and curriculum and assessment development

Applies knowledge of state standards, research, and evidence based instructional practices into the planning and design of curriculum, instruction, and assessments.

Utilizes excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid Texas teacher's certificate with specialization in social studies (preferred)

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role include:

Experience creating formative and summative assessments that incorporate knowledge of industry best practices

Location: In this U.S.-based position, your location will be remote.

A demonstrated experience with curriculum design in order to create engaging, research-based content that aligns with state standards

Excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to produce quality work in a timely manner

At least 3 years of experience writing, editing, or developing social studies curriculum or professional writing experience

Serve on faculty committees, as needed; offer instructional coaching; visit classrooms.

Act as a chaperone/leader of field trips, immersion experiences, retreats, service opportunities, and other activities.

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in education or in the primary teaching area is required.

Teaching experience in a Catholic or an independent school is preferred.

Knowledge of the Zoom video conferencing platform.
