Social Media Content Writer Jobs

Experience writing, filming, and editing short-form video for social platforms like TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram

Experience with consumer technology and/or lifestyle brands in the social space

Knowledge of video editing tools

GFiber Locations for this role: Remote location in any GFiber City

Creates content for all GFiber’s social media channels in all relevant mediums including writing, photography, and short-form video

Partners with the customer service team to monitor social media feeds to grow GFiber’s brand reach and reputation

Exceptional Writing and Editing Skills:

Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high-quality output.

Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in digital content creation and storytelling.

Basic knowledge of content analytics tools to measure and interpret content performance.

Stay up on social trends, bringing and sharing their social perspectives to benefit the work

0-6+ months of professional copywriting experience, social media examples preferred

Develop social posts in partnership with a junior social designer

Create concepts and copy native to the appropriate social channels

Edit copy for clients, proofreading all creative materials before client presentations or posting

Collaborate with all departments as a team player to ensure that the needs of your brands and senior teammates are met

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent work experience in a newsroom setting

Previous experience covering news, working in, and reacting to breaking-news situations.

Knowledge of other key editorial players in the landscape and the desire to hone Sherwood’s distinct voice

You’ll help pitch, research and fact check story coverage.
