Use various types of grinders and deburring tools to grind, buff, polish and deburr parts to production traveler and print specifications.

Inspect parts per print specifications.

Operate a walkie lift truck to move parts in and out of work area.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas (5S).

Perform other related duties as assigned.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

10 years related Metal Mechanics Manufacturing experience, 3+ years management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Enforce proper material management procedures.

Support and manage continuous improvement activities in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives.

Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Experience with High or low Pressure Die Castings.

Experience with process improvement methodologies to optimize efficiency and throughput.

Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities in order to meet customer expectations.

Castings inspection experience with FPI

Excellent communication skills written and verbal.

Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.

Be able to prepare written instructions and to organize and report the results of examinations.

Work independently and support team members Perform other job related tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors.

Develop in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Use prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.

Demonstrated Investment Casting manufacturing knowledge and experience is advantageous to the role.

Role is responsible for supplier processes, from initial qualification, maintenance, and necessary improvement driven by business quality needs.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in Engineering, Materials Science or Quality related roles.

Demonstrated experience in manufacturing or supplier quality.

Demonstrated history of problem solving, root cause and corrective action methodology, data analysis, statistical analysis and quality experience.

Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer QHSE handbooks, QHSE procedures and emergency procedures.

Minimum of two to five years’ experience in a related field preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred.

Equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Work as a Welder’s Helper:

Ensure machines are in working order and properly maintained.

A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.

The ability to understand written and oral instructions and communicate with supervisors and co-workers.

Blueprint reading, gage reading, and forklift operator license preferred.

Assist in all phases of pouring molten metal into molds

Operate shake-out and shot blast machines

Separate castings, break up molds, and saw as necessary
