To be a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market you must:

Have and show an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers

Have the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Be able to answer phones and take special orders

Must be able to stand for up to 4 hour continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift.

Develop culinary skills as you prep bakery offerings, jerky, fudge, BBQ, and other restaurant menu items

Competent use of various Menu Ordering Kiosks, Kitchen Management System, and transaction devices

Provide responsive communication with store management and fellow associates

Prepare Buc-ee’s unique food service menu offerings to prescribed recipes and maintain confidentiality

All employees may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed

Restaurant or retail experience preferred, kitchen line cook, busser, server, expediter, service staff experience a plus!

Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.

Notify management of customer or employee accidents.

Offer samples and recommend products to customers.

Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.

Comply with all state, county and local weights and measures laws and labeling requirements.

Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.

Learn and assist with pricing, dating, preparing, packaging, and merchandising of products within set guidelines and standards.

Maintain cleanliness standards within the department.

Follow company rules and state-mandated health and safety laws (Food Handlers Permit). Maintain proper hygiene by washing hands frequently.

Prepare salads and sandwiches along with packaging meats and cheeses.

Take custom service deli orders from guests, including completing order forms.
