Senior Workers Compensation Claims Examiner Jobs in Iowa

Leadership ability and demonstrated time management skills to delegate work appropriately and organize resources effectively.

Manages an inventory of workers compensation claims to evaluate compensability/liability.

Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and negotiate with customers and conduct investigations required.

Establishes action plan based on case facts, best practices, protocols, regulatory issues and available resources.

Plans and conducts investigations of claims to confirm coverage and compensability.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Strong time management and project management skills

Prepare comprehensive reports as required. Identify and communicate specific claim trends and account and/or policy issues to management.

Maintain licenses and continuing education requirements in all states.

Knowledge of contractual/policy law and commercial property insurance policies. Experience in reviewing Condo By-Laws and Condo Rules and Regulations

Document and manage claims (i.e.: record statements, update diaries, write reports) from inception to closure.

Large loss commercial claim handling and oversight experience. Facilitate communication between claimants, clients and brokers for resolution of claims.

College degree or equivalent required. Experience handling property claims is preferred.

Must have experience with property estimating and construction nomenclature.

Proficiency with Xactimate is required, while XactAnalysis experience is preferred.

Strong customer service skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Must have excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and shift priorities to organize and process work with limited supervision under tight deadlines is required.

Proven experience in project management

Minimum 3 years experience (within the last 5 years) in Finance, Human Resources or related field

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

Proven analytical, problem solving, partnering and program-design skills

Proven experience in SAP HR
