Senior Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster Jobs in Texas

Manage all aspects of claims to resolution in accordance with jurisdictional requirements

Obtain appropriate state adjuster certification and continuing education credits

Establish appropriate claim reserve and manage reserve adequacy throughout life of claim

Negotiate skillfully in difficult situations to win concessions without damaging relationships

Minimum 3 years progressive work experience in administrative role

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Three years of related experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working knowledge of legal, medical and business terms.

Knowledge of Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation Statutes, Rules, Regulations and Procedures.

Ability to travel independently for conferences, continuing education and site inspections.

Prior experience handling claims reviews and litigation management

2+ years of experience handling Workers Compensation claims from inception to close including those in litigation

Active Adjuster's License in Texas

Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills

Knowledge and execute on reviewing, evaluating, and negotiating injury claims

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

2+ years of related bodily injury experience

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes and ICD 10
