Senior Toolmaker Jobs

3 years’ mold making experience preferred

Build close tolerance, high-quality injection molds.

Program and setup CNC to machine mold components.

Set-up CNC equipment for high speed machining

Personal tools to setup machine and inspect finish product

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Work with other skilled trades and engineering employees to trouble shoot machinery functions.

Work experience with assembling powertrain assembly equipment and systems.

Able to use and interpret precision instruments with skill and confidence ( micrometers, Vernier's, indicators, precision machine levels, etc)

Proficiently run small machine shop equipment including but not limited to lathe, Bridgeport machine and surface grinders.

Read engineering drawings and schematics.

Plan daily activities with a minimum amount of instruction from supervisor.

Experience Fabricating and repairing Fixtures and Tooling

Operation of manual Lathes, Mills, Surface Grinders, Radial Drills and metal cutting machines.

A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience

Maintains and repairs production molds, tools, gages, equipment, and fixtures in support of operations.

Works closely with engineering, production associates and other toolmakers in resolving production issues.

Fabricates a variety of production tools, jigs, fixtures, molds, gauges, etc. from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.

Applies all required tool room ancillary equipment such as sine bars, rotary tables, index fixtures, attachments, and inspection tools.

Applies CAM software to program CNC equipment. Solid understanding of Gibbs Cam is a plus.
