Minimum of 2 years of experience in CEI inspection on FDOT projects

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I

CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I

CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I

CTQP Final Estimates Level I

10-15 years of roadway, highway, and drainage design experience.

Experience using computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents including InRoads and OpenRoads.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Lead the production of project plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates.

Be involved in all project aspects including design/study development and site/field visits during design and construction and work independently.

Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles

Organize and plan the job with the Project Manager and assist as required

Review cost reports monthly, initiate field change requests, and prepare vendor or subcontractor back charges with the Project Manager/Project Engineer

Identify extra work or change of conditions and report to Project Manager/Project Engineer.

Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of roadway construction

Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Directs and assigns specific tasks to inspectors and assists in all phases of the construction project.

Will be responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.

Thorough knowledge of construction practices, techniques, materials and related equipment

2 years of experience inspecting all utilities, electrical, waterline installation and roadway construction

Attend various meetings as needed related to assigned construction projects

Minimum of ten years of heavy civil transportation project experience

Bachelor of Science in Engineering with EIT or NICET Level III or higher certification

Working knowledge of railroad bridge construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications

Amtrak and/or NJ Transit experience is a plus

30-hour OSHA safety training certification

Good writing, computer and communication skills required
