Strong management and development skills

Management, Training and Scheduling of team of Buyers

Knowledge of Southern Nevada Health Food regulations and proper food handling certification

Must take and pass TAM (Techniques of Alcohol Management) Nevada training class.

Strong quantitative skills. Ability to “level” bids and present financial analysis supporting recommendations & decisions.

Knowledge of applicable laws and company policies regarding purchasing, vendor relations, and sales tax.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution in a Business-related field.

Minimum of four (4) years of purchasing experience for a large operation.

Professional Certification (FCN/FCCM/CPP and/or CPPB) preferred.

Identifies and develops “Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to better manage supplier performance and compliance to County contracts;

Thorough knowledge of County purchasing laws, regulations and procedures;

Thorough knowledge of the sources, prices, market factors and product characteristics applicable to the needs of the County government;
