Senior Quality Engineer – Product Development Jobs in Florida

Should have experience working with hose products, or with similar products.

Will develop hose assemblies which meet performance specifications.

Will work in design, sample builds, and testing.

Work on specification of capital equipment needed to make products.

Investigate customer issues and provide technical service at the engineering level.

Work on continuous improvement projects to lower costs, improve manufacturing throughput, improve quality, increase customer satisfaction.

Work cross-functionality with project management, R&D, regulatory, manufacturing, and other quality functions.

Collaborate with project teams to define product requirements, support test method development and validation, and support Design Verification planning and reporting.

Demonstrated ability to balance academic and extracurricular commitments (i.e. work experience, clubs, volunteer activities, teams, etc.).

Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Skilled in presentation development and public speaking.

General knowledge of various fabrication/manufacturing processes such as: CNC machining, sheet metal cutting/forming, injection molding, rotational molding, tube assembly fabrication, etc...

5 years of experience minimum preferred

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas:

Design for Manufacturing (DFM) - Required

Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation - Required

Design of production tooling/fixtures for quality and assembly consistency

Ensuring local market needs are well represented with Regional Portfolio Managers

Drive new variety pricing together with the Regional Pricing Manager and communicate price to Territory Head

Give technical support to key producers, leverage technical knowledge to the Sales team to prepare sales arguments and after sales support

Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or Horticulture (Masters preferred) or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience in the Vegetable Seed industry is highly preferred

Trial set up, planting and evaluation experience
